Prior to coming to our office for your consultation with Dr. McClellan, you should contact your insurance provider to verify coverage for weight loss surgery. Many insurance companies have strict guidelines, requirements, and limitations regarding coverage for the treatment of obesity. You should also check to see that Dr. Leslie C. McClellan (also Mercy Health System) is a provider in your network. If your insurance requires authorization for your visit or if your PCP (primary care physician) referred you to Dr. McClellan, you must bring a letter from your PCP in order to be seen.
